Ngl, a wrong AI answer on a 40 line spreadsheet cost me 6 hours and changed my mind about using it
Honestly last Tuesday I had a 40 line budget sheet that needed cleaning and I figured I would let an AI tool do the heavy lifting since everyone at my office keeps raving about them. It took me 6 hours to fix the mess it made because it quietly changed numbers in about 8 rows and swapped two columns on me. What really got me was the moment I caught it, I had already pasted half of it into a client file and had to recheck everything by hand. I always assumed these tools were good at plain stuff like math and sorting, but that day showed me they can sound just as sure when they are flat out wrong. Now I run anything with numbers through a second pass, no matter how simple it looks. Has anyone found a tool that actually holds up on basic spreadsheet math, or is double checking just the deal now?
