Fixed a fuel leak on the ramp at JFK and felt like a hero
Last Thursday I was doing a walk-around on a 737 when I spotted fuel weeping from a line near the APU. My lead was busy so I grabbed a wrench and tightened the B-nut just a quarter turn. The drip stopped completely and we got the bird out on time. Anyone else get that rush when a simple fix saves the schedule?

Oh man, I read somewhere that APU fuel leaks are super common on the 737s, that's a clutch save! Bet the whole crew was stoked you caught it.

Would the pilot have noticed the leak on his own during a walkaround or was it hidden well?
