Just realized my landlord's 'quiet hours' are whatever hours I'm not home
I moved into a place on Cedar Street in Boise 7 months ago and the lease clearly says quiet hours start at 10pm. Last Tuesday my upstairs neighbor had what sounded like a bowling tournament going until 1:40am, so I knocked on his door and he said my landlord gave him a pass because he works nights. I called the front office the next morning and the manager basically shrugged and told me to 'document it' with a log. So now I keep a running note on my phone with times and dates, and it's already at 23 entries in 2 weeks. Turns out the landlord only enforces quiet hours against people who pay month to month because they can push them out easier. Does anyone else keep a noise log, and has it actually worked when you showed it to a manager?
