The day I caught myself using the wrong multimeter setting on every fridge compressor

I was testing a compressor on a GE fridge last Tuesday and the ohms reading made zero sense. Turns out I had the meter set to AC voltage for six months straight. Has anyone else spent way too long using a meter setting without double checking?

Always good to check leads first, saved me a few times.

Overthinking leads has cost me more than skipping a few quick checks, honestly. @riley_west I feel like sometimes you just have to go with your gut and see what happens, otherwise you never learn what actually works. Too much planning can kill the whole momentum before you even start.

That 70% of my best conversions came from leads I almost didn't follow up on because they looked weak on paper. I spent years overanalyzing every little detail about a prospect's budget, timeline, and decision making process before ever picking up the phone. Finally realized all that analysis was just me building excuses to avoid rejection, not actually improving my chances. The leads I chased on pure gut feeling often led to the most creative solutions because I wasn't boxed in by my own assumptions. Now I do a quick 2 minute sanity check and then just go for it, learning from whatever happens next.
