I keep seeing people call that new Roman fort in Germany a 'castle'. It's a military camp, not a medieval palace. Why does this mix-up keep happening?

Wait, they're calling a Roman fort a castle? That's like calling a tank a chariot. The vibes are totally different.

Maybe they just like the word castle better.

But a castle is just a fortified home, right? So a Roman fort is basically the same idea. They both give off that strong, safe vibe to me.
