How often were you actually doing that punch it move when you drove? I ask because there is a big gap between flooring it once in a while to merge and stabbing the gas at every green light. If it was a daily habit then yeah, $600 sounds about right for new pads and rotors. But did the shop show you the old parts or just hand you a bill? Some places will blame your driving for normal wear so you do not go asking questions. Curious what the guy told you exactly.
