Changed my mind about phone astrophotography after comparing shots from a dark site in Utah
Three years ago I laughed at anyone shooting the Milky Way with a phone and told them to buy a real camera. Last month my brother dragged me to a spot near Moab with zero light pollution, and his 20 second phone exposure picked up way more stars than my old DSLR did with the kit lens. Anyone else get humbled by a phone camera lately, or was my gear just bad?
