Update: I fixed a no-start on a 2011 Corolla by wiggling the key in the ignition
Had a customer's 2011 Corolla towed in last week with a no-start, no crank. I spent 45 minutes checking battery voltage, grounds, and the starter signal wire, all looked fine. Out of frustration I grabbed the key and wiggled it hard in the ignition while turning, and it fired right up. Turned out the ignition switch contacts were worn. I pulled one from a junkyard car for $15 and it's been starting fine since. Anyone else run into worn ignition switches on these, or is it usually just the starter?
