Just wasted $850 on a cheap harness tester off eBay
I figured I'd save some cash and bought this no-name harness tester from a seller in China. Looked decent in the photos, had good specs on paper. First time I used it on a Cessna 172 wing harness, it gave me false continuity readings that would've sent me chasing ghosts for days. I spent a whole Saturday cross-referencing with a borrowed Fluke before I realized the tester was junk. The seller won't respond to my messages and eBay won't do anything since it's been 45 days. Has anyone else gotten burned by cheap test gear that looked okay but wasn't?

Did you at least get a cool cardboard box out of it? I once bought a "professional" multimeter off a sketchy site and it beeped when I touched it to my coffee mug, thought I was onto something for a minute there.
