My date took 4 hours because I ordered the wrong shoes online

So I matched with this guy on Hinge and we planned a casual coffee walk downtown. I ordered these new boots online saying they'd arrive in 2 days but they showed up the day of the date and they were 2 sizes too big. I spent 45 minutes trying to stuff insoles in them and they still flopped around. Ended up being 20 minutes late because I had to dig out my old sneakers from the back of my closet. The coffee shop was almost closing by the time I got there and we only had 15 minutes together. Has anyone else had a date ruined by bad online shopping timing?

Read online returns are just as bad.

Read online and return in store is a joke too, they act like you're trying to scam them. People just expect everything to be instant and perfect now, nobody wants to deal with actual stores.

Not really... I've actually had pretty smooth experiences with online returns. Got a jacket that was way too small last month, printed the label, dropped it off at the post office, and had the refund in my account in like 4 days. Maybe it depends on where you shop, but I've never had them treat me like I'm pulling a fast one.
