Guy next door told me my fence paint was making his dog sick
He came over last Tuesday and said the white paint I used on the shared fence was peeling into his yard and his lab kept eating the chips. I thought he was just being picky, but then I looked and yeah, it was flaking bad. I switched to a water-based stain from True Value for $34 and repainted the whole 60 foot line last weekend. Has anyone else had a neighbor blame their yard stuff for a pet issue, or was this guy just crazy?

Yeah my neighbor pulled the same thing a couple summers back, said the mulch I put down was giving his cat some kinda rash. I looked it up and some mulches really do have dyes that can bother animals, so I swapped to the plain brown stuff and the complaints stopped. Sounds like your guy might've had a point even if he came off like a nut.
