Hot take: I was wrong about calling the city on my neighbor's parties
I used to be the guy who dialed the noise line at 11pm sharp whenever my next door guy threw a backyard thing, and honestly I felt pretty good about it. Then a lady two doors down asked me to stop and just talk to him first, so I did, and it turns out he had no clue how loud it got back there and now he texts me before big nights. Feels like I lost a hobby though, so anyone got a real reason to keep the complaint route handy?

Lmao losing a hobby is real, I used to treat the noise line like my nightly ritual. Good on you for actually talking to the guy though, that took more guts than my 11pm dialing ever did. Keep the number around for the real jerks, but sounds like your neighbor earned the text-first treatment.
