Trying to decide between a stand mixer and a food processor for my cookie dough
I was making a big batch of my grandma's chocolate chip recipe and had to choose between using my KitchenAid stand mixer or just my food processor with the dough blade. I went with the stand mixer because I thought it would cream the butter and sugar better. Honestly, the cookies came out a bit too dense, and I think the food processor might have given me a more even crumb. Has anyone else had better luck with a food processor for certain doughs?

My stand mixer has made some real hockey pucks before. The food processor can actually work better for short mixing times. Guess we both learned the hard way.
