Clipper stopped mid haircut yesterday, lost a regular
My Wahl clipper just died on me Tuesday afternoon. I was halfway through a fade on my best customer. Had to switch to my backup which is a different brand, totally messed up the blend. He was not happy, said I ruined his look before a job interview. I ended up having to comp the cut and he walked out. Are there clippers that don't just give up after 6 months of heavy use? What are you guys running that actually lasts?
My first cordless drill died on me mid-screw years ago, so I feel your pain. That timing is brutal though, especially with a regular who's about to sit for an interview. I'd say look into Wahl's corded models, they're tanks and won't leave you hanging like that.
Stick with corded if you can @clark.robin, but don't sleep on the Andis or Oster clippers either. Wahl is good but I've seen their motors burn out faster than the other two brands when used daily. Just something to keep in mind before you buy.
