Dropped $38 on a single dry aged ribeye for my birthday and now I get why people plan last meals around steak
Cooked it in a cast iron on my back porch in Tulsa last month after burning two cheaper ones trying to practice. Something about eating one perfect bite instead of a whole plate just makes sense to me now. What would you pick if you only got one bite of anything?
Gotta say the whole "one perfect bite" thing loses me a bit. Half the joy of a good steak is the ritual, cutting into it, the smell, going back for the next piece once you know how good it is. One bite would just leave me mad, honestly. If I only got one bite of anything it'd be my grandma's cornbread straight out of the oven with butter melting into it, and even that I'd want three.
