I almost told my sister her baby name was terrible, but my mom's face changed my mind
My sister announced she's naming her kid Braxton and I had the whole speech ready in my head about how it sounds like a car part. Then I looked at my mom across the table in Mesa and she had this tight smile like she was holding back the exact same thing. I realized the name wasn't hurting anyone and my opinion wasn't worth the fight at a baby shower. Has anyone else been saved from saying something dumb by just watching someone else's face?
What was going through your head in that split second when you caught your mom's face? Like was it relief or more of a oh crap she's thinking the same thing moment?
