I finally see why everyone binges The Americans, took me 4 tries

I kept starting The Americans and quitting after 2 episodes for like two years. Last month I forced myself to watch through episode 5 and something just clicked. The pacing gets so much better once Philip and Elizabeth start doing more undercover stuff with their kids in the mix. I binged all 6 seasons in 9 days, which messed up my whole sleep schedule. Anyone else have a show that only worked after you pushed past the first few episodes?
