DAE get mad at autocorrect for 'fixing' words you were typing right the whole time?
So I finally figured out what's been bugging me about my phone keyboard for the past 2 years, and it's not the typos themselves. It's that autocorrect keeps swapping in words I never meant to type even when the word I typed was already correct. Last Tuesday I texted my sister 'I'll meet you at the library at 4' and my phone changed 'library' to 'liberal' and she thought I was picking a political fight. I only caught it because she replied with a confused gif. Then it did the same thing with 'duck' when I was trying to tell my buddy about feeding the ducks at the park, which is a whole other mess. I went into settings and turned off autocorrect for like 3 days but then my regular typing got so sloppy I had to turn it back on. The part that bugs me is everyone blames themselves for 'not proofreading' but how am I supposed to proofread a word that looked fine when I hit send? I get that it's learning from what I type but maybe it should stop learning so hard. Is there some setting buried in there that keeps it from changing real words, or do I just have to live like this?
