One harsh review of my photo edits made me stop overusing presets
I was cranking out edits for a client in Portland last month, slapping the same warm preset on every shot like it was my signature. The client finally sent back a note saying my photos all looked like they came from the same filter factory, not from their actual bakery. That stung because I thought consistency was the point. Turns out they wanted the real flour dust and uneven lighting, not my fake glow. I switched to manual tweaks, one photo at a time, and it took twice as long but the feedback after delivery was totally different. Have you ever had a client call out your go-to shortcut and make you question everything you do in Lightroom?
