Why does nobody warn you that a dead phone battery can eat a whole Sunday
So last Sunday I'm sitting at my kitchen table in Boise trying to renew my truck registration online before the late fee kicks in Monday morning. My phone was at 4 percent so I plugged it in and nothing happened. No charging icon, no nothing. I figured the cable was bad, swapped it, still nothing. Then I dug out an old block, tried a different outlet, flipped the breaker just in case, and still dead as a rock. I spent the next 5 hours wiping the charging port with a toothpick, cleaning lint out with a safety pin, Googling "phone wont charge" about 40 times like the answer was gonna change. Finally my kid walks by, looks at the outlet, and says the light switch on the wall controls it. It was a switched outlet. The whole time. So is this the phone's fault for not telling me, or mine for not knowing my own house? What weird stuff has your own place done to trick you?
