Our old game group used to laminate rule sheets to make them last

Back in the 90s, we would print out fan-made rules and laminate them at the copy shop to handle constant use. These days, most rules are digital, but I still laminate paper copies for my go-to games. It stops them from getting torn or stained during long sessions. This small step adds a personal touch and keeps the game ready for many more plays.

That copy shop near my old college charged two bucks for a full-page lamination. Totally worth it for the heavily referenced pages.

Watched my friend's laminated sheet get worn out until it shredded, just like @rowanp71 said would happen.

Remember trying to laminate something at home with clear packing tape as a broke student. That sticky mess lasted about a week before peeling off. Guess we all learn the hard way.
