Question about hitting 50 plays on one board game and totally flipping my view on solo gaming
I always said solo board gaming was just playing by yourself with extra steps, which felt kind of sad to me. Then my wife got sent to Denver for 6 weeks for work, and I logged my 50th play of Spirit Island alone at our kitchen table on a Tuesday night. Somewhere around play 30 I noticed I was thinking about the game on my drive home, planning out new spirit builds in my head like a total nerd. That number caught me off guard because I never thought I'd hit double digits on any game, let alone 50. Anyone else get dragged into solo play against their will like this? Which game did it to you?
