Bought a $150 bone folder from a retiring guy in Portland and I have been chasing that high ever since
Saw a listing from a bookbinder closing up shop in Portland and she sold me her 40 year old bone folder plus a standing press for $150 total. That folder is real bone, worn so smooth on one edge it just glides, and now every plastic one I own feels like scraping butter with a spoon. The press was a beast to haul up my stairs but totally worth it. What is the one worn in tool you would grab first if your shop caught fire?
