My cousin told me to skip travel insurance for a $1800 trip to Portugal and I can't stop thinking about it
She's 27, works remote, and has been to 14 countries this year alone without ever buying a policy. Her take was that the odds of anything going wrong on a 10 day trip to Lisbon and Porto are so low that the $60 policy is just a tax on fear. I get the math, but I keep thinking about my coworker Dana who broke her ankle in Rome and got stuck with a $4,200 bill. Where do you all draw the line on this, is it really just a numbers game or am I being paranoid?
