Heads up, checkout lane impulse buys wrecked my food budget
I kept grabbing extra snacks every trip. Making a list and sticking to it saved me over $60 a month.

Did you hear stores put that stuff there on purpose?

Honestly I find it helpful when they do that. Saves me time hunting for things I already need, like milk or bread at the back. It is just smart business, not some evil plot.

My personal kryptonite is those Reese's cups right at eye level. I started making a list too, but half the time I'm just writing "do not buy the peanut butter things" at the bottom in all caps. It works most trips, but man, sometimes after a long day that candy bar just jumps into my hand, I swear. Saving that much cash is a huge win though, makes the few slip-ups feel less bad. I'm basically in a cold war with the checkout lane now, lmao.
