I figured cloud phone systems were a scam for small shops, then our phones died on a Friday
Our landline setup at the shop had been limping along for a while, and every sales call I got about moving phones to the cloud sounded like the same script. I finally caved in March after a storm knocked out our lines for 2 days and we lost about 6 scheduled jobs. The setup took one afternoon, and now calls roll over to my cell and the front desk laptop instead of just ringing out. Our monthly bill went from $310 to $140, and I can pull up call logs from my truck. I'm not saying every hosted phone pitch is legit, but this one actually did what the guy promised. Anyone else run their shop phones over the internet, and did you keep a backup line just in case?
