My cabinet shop neighbor bet me I couldn't hang a shop-made door without shims, I lost $20 and a Saturday
Last month I built a maple cabinet door in my garage and my neighbor keeps saying shop-made doors always sag if you don't shim them. I hung it dead level with no shims just to prove him wrong, and by the next morning it was rubbing the stile so bad I had to take the whole thing down. Any of you ever win that fight, or do you just shim it and move on?
