My Kreg jig stripped out on a maple face frame last Friday.

I was driving the final screw and the whole collar just spun free. Anyone have a good fix for this, or should I just replace the whole unit?

Maybe try a helicoil insert for a stronger fix than just a new bolt.

Helicoils are great until you cross thread the install tool. Ask me how I know.

My old Kreg 320 did that. I tapped the hole with a 1/4-20 tap and used a longer bolt with a nut on the back.
