Bought a $180 Klein tone generator on a coworker's tip and it died on the third job
Anyone else get burned by that Klein VDV scout pro or did I just get a bad one, because it read dead shorts on two known good runs before it crapped out.

What kind of runs were they, like romex or cat cable? And did it read dead shorts right away or only after it warmed up a bit? Trying to figure out if you got a lemon or if that model just sucks in general.
