Pro tip: always bring extra fish tape to old apartment buildings

Got a line stuck in a plaster wall chase in a 1920s place yesterday, took me 3 hours to finally pull it through. Anyone have a better method for those really crumbly old walls?

My uncle's 1920s bungalow has plaster walls that shed like a cat. The real horror, hannah_west, is finding out the dust is mostly old horse hair. You stop worrying about the walls and start wondering about the air.
