My landlord in Echo Park let me put 2 tables on the sidewalk and my Tuesday sales went from $180 to $410
The permit hassle scared me for months so I just kept everything inside. He walked by on a slow Tuesday, saw 3 people waiting for seats, and said go ahead and set up outside, he would handle the city stuff. We dragged out 2 small tables and 6 chairs that same afternoon. Now my morning regulars bring their dogs and sit out there even when it is cold, and Tuesday numbers jumped from around $180 to $410. Any of you dealt with the sidewalk seating rules in LA, and did the city give you a hard time after the fact?
