The barista at my new spot in Silver Lake charges $7 for drip and yells the orders like a circus barker
Popped into a little place on Sunset last Tuesday and the guy behind the counter introduced himself, then yelled my order so loud three people looked up. He also refused to give me a lid for my cup, said the foam needs to breathe, which is a new one on me. I paid $7 for drip coffee and honestly the show was worth it, the coffee was fine but the yelling was the real draw. Any other cafe owners out there dealing with staff who turn the counter into a performance, and do you lean in or reel it back?
