Guy brought in a Nikon F3 with a bent shutter and told me his "camera guy" said it was fine
He drove 90 minutes from Syracuse because his local guy swore the curtain was fine, but I put it on the bench and the first curtain was dragging by about 2mm at 1/1000. Turns out the "camera guy" had never opened an F3 and just charged him $60 to blow out dust. If someone tells you a shutter issue is fine without a test roll or a scope, walk away.
