My brass brush wore down after 200 cleanings, that math hit me hard
I keep a log of every lens I service and just counted, that little $6 brush did over 200 jobs before it got soft. Found the number when I was tallying my year end parts costs in my shop in Portland. Anyone else track tool lifespan like that or am I just weird about my bench gear?
Tally up the total cost per job instead, that's the real number that matters after you break it down. Once you see it's like three cents a cleaning, you stop sweating the wear.
