Appreciation post: the ranger at Ricketts Glen showed me a $12 fix for my leaky pad valve
I was at Ricketts Glen State Park in PA last weekend and my sleeping pad valve started hissing around 10pm. A ranger walking the loop heard it and came over with a tiny piece of plumber's tape and a spare O-ring he keeps in his vest, and it held all night. Has anyone else had a valve leak that turned out to be a $12 o-ring instead of a whole new pad?
