I spent a year calling out a local youtuber over his fishing videos, then found out he films in a stocked pond by his house
So there is this guy on youtube who makes fishing videos and I got really into calling him out in his comments for about a year, saying he was faking the spots and posing for shots. I even made a couple of my own videos pointing out how the background never matched a real river. Well last month my buddy drags me to a tackle shop event in Springfield and the guy is there doing a meet and greet. I walk up planning to say something clever, and he just laughs and tells me the whole pond is behind his house, he rents it, and he labels every video as "backyard series" in the description. I pull out my phone in front of him and there it is, right at the bottom, the whole time. I felt like a total clown because I had watched 40 of his videos and never read one description. Now I actually like his stuff because he admits it is all staged and just does it for fun and the fish are real. Has anyone else torched somebody online only to find out the receipts were sitting right there the whole time?
