Talking to my barber in Philly made me rethink a whole cancellation

I was at a shop on South Street last Tuesday and my barber, Marcus, brought up that comedian who got dropped from everything last spring. He said it wasn't about the joke itself, but about how the apology came a week later and only after sponsors pulled out. That hit different because I'd been all for the cancellation, but hearing him break down the timeline made me wonder if we're judging the response more than the act. Anyone else have a conversation that flipped their take on a situation like that?
