I rewatched 'The OA' last month and it's still a crime it got cut off

I put it on for a friend who had never seen it, thinking it was just a weird show. By the end of season two, we were both yelling at the TV because the story was finally going somewhere huge. The cancellation right after that wild ending felt like getting a book ripped in half. Has anyone found another show that builds a world that well only to leave you hanging?

Feel the pain, it's like Netflix handed you the best puzzle box ever and then kept the key. They have a real talent for building amazing worlds and then forgetting where they put the map. I'm still mad about it.

Maybe it's not about forgetting the map... it's that the map was never drawn. The worlds are built to hook us, not to have a real destination. The mystery is the product, not a story to be solved.
