Just found out my canceled show has a bigger fan following than I thought

I was browsing an old fan forum for a show that got axed in 2016, and I stumbled on a petition page that had over 12,000 signatures from people asking for a revival. That surprised me because when it aired, the ratings were so low I figured maybe 500 people cared about it. I even found a fan-made wiki with episode guides and theories that's still being updated every week. It made me wonder if the network ever saw how much passion there was, so has anyone else found hidden fan communities for a show they thought was forgotten?
