Just wasted $130 on a Swamp Thing blu-ray box set, no season 2 in sight
I paid $130 for the complete series box after the revival rumors heated up in April, but the studio confirmed nothing last month at Dragon Con. Anyone else get burned buying physical media for a show that never came back? Should I just sell it now or hold out hope?

Did your friend buy the same set after hearing those rumors back in April? Yeah, my buddy Mike did the exact same thing with a different show, he dropped like $200 on a complete series box for a cult favorite that was supposed to get a reboot. He held onto it for two years, kept telling himself the studio would cave, and then the rights got sold to some streaming service that buried it forever. He finally sold it on eBay for like forty bucks, and the whole time he was kicking himself for not unloading it when the hype was still hot. Honestly, if you can get most of your money back now, I’d say do it, because waiting usually just means the price drops even more when people forget the show ever existed. But then again, if you really love having the physical copy, it’s not the worst thing to keep on a shelf, just don’t expect it to pay off like an investment.
