Just saw my friend go from $45k to $70k in a year after switching his resume style

He was stuck in the same job for three years, then he redid his resume to focus on numbers and results instead of just listing tasks. He told me he used a free template from a site called Resume Worded and sent out about 30 applications. He got three interviews and landed a new role as a project coordinator in Chicago. Has anyone else had a big win just from changing how they write their resume?

I used to think resumes were just formalities, but that's a HUGE difference.

Wait, is it really that big of a deal though? I've seen people get jobs with pretty basic resumes and others with fancy ones get ignored. A lot of times it just comes down to who you know or if the hiring manager is having a good day. Feels like luck plays a bigger part than we admit.

Remember my cousin who got a call back after adding "managed the office coffee fund" as a budget line item.
