Stopped at a diner in Amarillo and saw a guy pour coffee on his cornflakes
I was driving through Amarillo on I-40 and pulled into this little diner off the highway for breakfast around 7am. The guy at the counter next to me orders cornflakes and then asks the waitress for a cup of hot coffee. He pours the coffee right over the bowl and eats it like that. I watched him do it twice, two full bowls. The waitress said he's been coming in for 3 years and does it every single time. That got me wondering where we actually draw the line between cereal and soup, because hot coffee over flakes seems like it should count as a hot soup if anything does. Does temperature change the whole argument for anyone else, or is it really just about the milk?
