Rant: the $4.99 breakfast burrito at the Chevron off I-80 in Fernley is better than my $12 brunch spot
Three weeks ago I pulled off I-80 in Fernley at 6am on my way to a shift and grabbed a $4.99 breakfast burrito from the Chevron hot case because I was running on fumes and bad decisions. That thing had crispy potatoes, real chorizo, and green chile that actually had some bite, and I have been thinking about it ever since while paying triple for a sad version at a place with a chalkboard menu and a 25 minute wait. What gas station food has no business being that good, and where am I driving to next?
