Took me 3 weeks to track down which comic shop had the issue I needed, turned into a whole debate about hunt vs order online
I was chasing a specific back issue for my collection and spent close to $60 in gas driving to shops all over the DFW area trying to find it in person. One shop owner told me he had it, drove 40 mins there, and it turned out he was thinking of a different cover. Ended up finding the exact copy online in like 5 minutes for cheaper than any store was asking. So now I'm stuck wondering if the thrill of the hunt is actually worth it or if I've just been wasting my time and money this whole run. How do you all decide when to keep hunting local versus just clicking buy?

How many hours do you figure you burned total on that whole trip? Curious where you draw the line, like is it a dollar amount or just the vibe of finding it yourself?
