Went down a rabbit hole on the JFK files and hit a dead end

Last Saturday I spent 6 hours cross-referencing the released NSA documents with the Warren Commission appendix, and my timeline fell apart around the motorcade turn. I thought I found a mismatch in the zapruder frames but it turned out my copy was grainy. Has anyone else gotten stuck matching witness statements to the actual routes, or am I just chasing bad scans?
