Had a weird moment at the Chicago Creator Con last month
I was watching a panel on video editing and the speaker, a guy named Mark from a big tech channel, said he never uses fancy transitions anymore. He just cuts on the beat of the music. I tried it on my last three videos and the watch time went up by about 15%. Has anyone else tried cutting out all the flashy stuff and keeping it simple?

Cutting on the beat is a game changer. I used to spend way too much time picking the perfect swish or zoom transition, and for what? My early videos look like a PowerPoint presentation from 2005.
