Hot take: I wasted 2 years putting my face in every thumbnail until my sister asked who the guy was
Six weeks ago my sister was scrolling my channel and asked who the guy in all my thumbnails was. It was me. The whole time. I had been cropping my face into every single one since I hit 1,000 subs back in 2023. She said the videos with just the object and big text were the ones she actually clicked on. Now I want to know how other people decide on a thumbnail look. Do you test yours before posting, or just go with your gut?
