My editor said she would rather work with a slow creator than a fast one, and I can't stop thinking about it
We were on a call last Tuesday and she said the creators who post once a week with something real beat the ones who post daily every single time, because audiences can smell when you are just filling space. Half of me thinks that is easy to say when you already have 50k subs, and the other half remembers every rushed video I put out in March that got 200 views. So which is it, is slow and solid the real move, or is that just advice for people who already made it?
The slow thing works but only if the slow stuff is actually better. I went from posting 5x a week to twice a week last year and nothing changed until I started spending the extra time on the first 30 seconds of each video. That is where the difference shows up. Also look at your March views, were those rushed ones getting shown to your subs at all? Sometimes the algo just buries you and it has nothing to do with speed.
