Store brand mac and cheese beat the fancy $6 box and I'm still a little mad about it
My sister in law brought this $6 box of white cheddar shells to Thanksgiving in Tulsa and would not stop going on about it. So the next week I made a pot of the 89 cent store brand stuff I grew up on, and honestly it was better. The cheap sauce got thick and stuck to the noodles instead of pooling up at the bottom like the fancy one did. Something about the fake orange powder just hits when you're tired and it's cold outside. Anyone else think the upscale boxes are mostly marketing, or did I just get a bad box?
