Serious question, a color client at the salon in Reno taught me something about mixing that I still use 3 years later
Three years ago I was doing a color correction on a client at a salon in Reno and she kept telling me the mix felt too warm even though my swatch looked fine. I ignored her for the first 20 minutes because I was sure my formula was right. She finally said her last stylist always added a tiny drop of blue to cool things down and I tried it just to shut her up. That one drop changed the whole tone and her hair came out exactly like the inspo pic she brought in. Now I mix a test strand before every single color service and it saves me at least one redo a month. Does anybody else do a test strand on every client or just the tricky ones?
